I think I am a good mother, I really do. But sometimes my kids drive me nuts! It is like what I say goes in one ear and out the other. Sometimes I think that maybe I just need to chill. They are just kids right? I should give them a break. Then I look at other peoples kids and how they act out, and have no respect and think...Nope, not gonna happen with my kids. Maybe I then pull the reins a little tighter. They say "pick your battles". Who is "they"? I want to see how their kids turned out.

Joshua has 2 more weeks of football. It will be bittersweet when it is over. He is at practice Mon-Thurs til 5:30. I have to pick him up. We have had to travel to his out of town games and we don't have the money for gas. But, then I love watching him play.

So the family is at the Football game except for Tyleigh and I. We're home watching "Ugly Betty".

I have been crying all day. Jared has been being a total jerk all week. Nothing new. He treats me like he hates me all the time anyhow.
I was going to type a novel, but I can't go there now...no more tears left.

Anyways so this elk yielded 442 pounds of meat. It is the biggest elk of the year (so far..rifle season hasn't started yet). So this elk meat, (which I am sure I am going to hate BTW )costs...$265.20 to butcher. So after I pay all the bills, the tithing and this butcher bill...I have 70 bucks left to last the 6 of us 2 weeks. We have NO groceries in the house. Not even Milk. But we do have 442 pounds of elk meat. Yuck So I cried some more about that. Not sure how I am going to feed the family, put gas in the vehicles and feed Jared on the road on 70 bucks. And what I don't get is this: We are doing what we should. We are going to church. We are paying out tithing. We are worthy to hold recommends...and what do we get? Flat ass broke, that's what. I am bitter right now..wondering if I should take the tithing money and get groceries. It's not like I WANT to go to the temple right now anyhow. Grouch Day 1

So there is one bit of good news for the day though. I ate the elk steaks that Jared made for dinner, and I liked it. It tasted just like beef. And I am very picky about meat. It wasn't gross at all, and I was so ready to spit it out and tell him that his stupid hunting escapades was a complete waste of time and money...and I liked it. So I guess at least with the 70 bucks I have, I won't have to use a dime of it on beef. Woo-hoo. Rolling Eyes So we borrowed this big ancient freezer from Jared's mother. It is huge at the top wont close all the way it is so full of meat.

Well some rather cool stuff has happened since I wrote last.
One being that Jared shot a HUGE Bull Elk with his bow. He is so proud!
Dallin was with him, and so were Randy and Morgan.

Last night was Joshua's 3rd Football game. He played a couple minutes of the 1st quarter and most of the 2nd quarter. After half time he never came out of the game. He played Offense and Defense, and did a great job. This is really boosting his self esteem. His dad is so proud of him, which I am do glad of...most things they do not see eye to eye on, so this is great for them.

Just a little bit of news before I go to bed.
Football here is huge. Small town and everyone shows up to watch the game. It is actually pretty cool. There are men in their Eighties who used to play on the field watching and rooting.
So most of the kids here have played Football since 5th grade. Joshua just started 3 weeks ago. He doesn't get to play much because of his lack of experience. So tonight, his second game ever...he SACKED THE QUARTERBACK! I was so proud! Football 2 Vikings

I can't believe it has been 5 years since the horrific attacks on our country.

I remember that morning. I had gotten up and got Joshua up for school. I am laying in bed watching the local news when they break into "The Today Show" I believe. It is 6:46 am. I they are saying that a plane had hit the World Trade Center. Of course the first thing of think of is terrorism. But then I start thinking, "well maybe someone wanted to commit suicide, or they weren't paying attention". That theory of course went out the window as I watched live, the second plane hit the other tower some 17 minutes later.

When the Pentagon was hit, I was just waiting for more and more places to be shown. Luckily some heroes saved other targets from being hit.

I sat in horror the rest of the week in front of the TV switching back and forth between CNN and CNBC. I slept with CNN on the TV all night, a bad habit I continue to this day.

I remember how patriotic everyone became. It was such a wonderful feeling of unity. I wish that feeling was still here today, because now it seems the country is divided with different opinions about what should have happened, or what we should be doing. I am glad the decision isn't mine to make.

So Joshua won his first ever Football game. He was really excited. Krista came over to the game with the 3 oldest kids. It was good to see them again.

We have been doing alot of hanging out with Randy and LaRene. It is odd that we find a couple to hang out with that we actually like both the husband and wife, and can tolerate the kids as well. Jared and Randy have been doing alot of hunting lately. Jared got a deer with his bow on the opening day of the season.

They are off hunting tonight too. Trying to get an Elk.

I can't believe the kids are getting so dang big. Especially Joshua. This picture if from their first day of school. Joshua started middle school, Dallin started 2nd grade, Baylee is in Kindergarten. Tyleigh keeps me "entertained" while they are gone.

Notice Joshua's height compared to 6'1 Jared. He is as tall as I am now. Scary. Today is his first football game. (Or should I say Fooos-ball...LOL).He is really excited, but I think maybe Jared is even more excited. Football is a big deal here...especially High School Football. It looks like a ghost town around here on Friday nights....EVERYONE is at the high school for the football game. It is pretty cool actually. Go Vikings! Vikings

There are so many obstacles in the journey of our lives. You can either choose to stop and decay in front of that obstacle OR choose to move it away and open way to continue your journey. So which path will I take? Humm. It's a hard choice.

Well this is scary....

So I haven't posted in forever....

So I haven't posted in forever, and I need to update...But I thought I would come and post my birth stories here since I typed them up for a friend (I love copy and paste!)

#1 Joshua was 14 days overdue. They sent me in to be induced. I had never had an untrasound (going to tree hugging mid wives). They had said "oh your breech" "oh it turned" over and over. Came to the conclusion the baby was head down. So 7am...put pit in. At 10:30pm I was finally dialated to 10. Pushing...yada yada...No pain meds whatsoever. So here comes something...and the midwives are all "oh dear, what is that?" And me thinking I am delivering an alien or something. Nope, it was his nuts. So they are telling me not to push (yeah right). They call the Dr. With each contraction his scrotum is coming out, then going in. So emergency C-section...he was finally born at 1:16 am the next day. His manhood was the size of a full grown man. Black and blue and blistered. (poor guy)
#2 Miscarriage at 8.5 weeks, at home. No complications.
#3 Miscarriage at 17 weeks. I delivered Tanner around 10 pm. The placenta wouldn't come out. I was on pitocin for HOURS trying to deliver the placenta. The Dr was a complete jerk. He had one hand on the outside and one inside tugging and pulling...it finally came out about 6am as we were heading to the operating room. That hurt was worse that delivering ANY of my babies. (the tugging and pulling)
This period was years of trying to conceive with no luck. All sorts of painful tests and whatnot. I had given up on having anymore kids. I went to the Dr who delivered Joshua for a yearly exam. He noticed that my uterus was WAY tilted. My cervix was pointing upwards instead of down. (I am sure it was caused by the doctor yanking and pulling..he stretched the ligaments that hold up the uterus very badly.) So this Dr. tells me "If you want to get pregnant, have sex doggy style, then stay that way for 15 minutes...LOL" So we did, and I got pregnant.
#4 With Dallin I went into labor at 28 weeks. Bedrest...tributaline, it was a nightmare. I made it to term though. I had a scheduled C section, BUT...I was heading up to labor and delivery a week before the surgery to see my SIL who had had a miscarriage. My water broke in the elavator in the hospital. I asked the Dr to let me be and see what happened. 12 hours later, with the help of pit Dallin was born...also with no pain meds, and no complications.
#3 Also preterm labor, but not til 32 weeks. Bedrest, yada yada...but made it to term. I went into the hospital dialated to 4...so they broke my water. I was put on pit again. Baylee was born 7 hours later. No pain meds, no complications.
#4 No preterm labor with Tyleigh. I was dialated to 5 with bulging bags by 36 weeks though. They had me scheduled for a C-section. (this was the new hospital policy...no V-bacs due to new research and malpractice suits) I was almost 38 weeks. I told the Dr. I thought it was stupid to make me have a C-section when I was already dialated to 5. He agreed. I had to sign all kinds of wavers saying I understood the risks and I couldn't sue the hospital..yada yada. They took me in, broke my water at 8am. Again I had pit. This time I wanted to try some pain relief so I had an intrathecal (sp? It's a spinal but only lasts an hour). Well then I couldn't figure out how to push...lol. She ended up having to be sucked out by the vacuum cuz her heart rate was wigging out. She was fine though :)

And now the News....

So that house that I soooo much want. The owners called me and they want us to rent it until we can buy!
He has an interview in Dallas on Friday, and if he gets the job we may be moving. Not sure how soon. They said "right away". But we still have to draw up papers for the house, and they have to buy a house in Texas so that may take a while.
I am really excited. Still not trying to get my hopes up too much. Farmer

Alright so now more news....

Ok before I start with the news I want to say that I love Grey's Anatomy. http://www.greysanatomyonline.com/

This is one show that I NEVER miss!

New Hope....

(Edited to say that since this post we have found out the stuff dealing with the bankruptcy isn't true. We actually have to pay up til Oct for the 36 mo. to be up, and them we have another 18 months to pay after that...but we can pay it off without penalty. Not that that helps at all...no way that we can come up with 4 grand. I guess we will see what happens)
So I got some pretty good news the other day.
I talked on the phone with my attorney, and he said that once our 36 months is up on our chapter 13 bankruptcy that we are DONE. All remaining balances are forgiven. (Ch.13 you pay back the debt...Ch.7 is where all your creditors just get screwed..lol) I was under the impression that after the 3 yrs that they re-do the remaining balance. (And we would still owe over $5,000) So after March...we will be $231 richer every month and our Ch. 13 will be discharged. (See above edit)
Which means, we can BUY a home!
I know the house I want too. It isn't anything fancy...I don't do fancy. And it doesn't look very big on the outside, but it is actually a pretty big house. AND it comes with 1.5 acres, AND I have lived in it before so I know I like it.
6 bedrooms and 1.5 acres for $144,000. You can't find that Anywhere. And we know ALL of the neighbors. Right next door lives the bishop that Married Jared and I almost 13 yrs ago.
K a little background. When Dh and I were engaged, I didn't want to be in Cali while he was in Oregon, so I moved in with this awesome family who just happened to live in THIS house. (No way I would live with DH's family...they all have serious issues) We would wake up in the morning, sit at the kitchen table, and watch all the deer in the backyard. It was awesome.
Two more good things about this house... Being out in the country, you have a well and a septic system. Meaning NO water Bill! You also have a burn barrel, and you just burn your garbage. So no garbage bill either. There is a huge wood burning stove downstairs, and there are vents in the ceiling/floor...and the heat from this stove also heats the upstairs. NO MORE $264.00 gas bills. (Jared can cut a cord of wood for $5.00 right outside of town).
I talked to the owners of this house...and they said they would be willing to work with us. I'm not holding my breath, but I think it would be Awesome. It still had to be on the market, so there is a chance it could sell. But today...at this moment anyhow, life is looking up, and I no longer want to hurl myself off a cliff. LOL
One more reason to move there: The nursing program at the local college. ALL of the colleges I have looked at to attend Nursing school, have at least 2 yrs of pre-requisites. This program is 2 yrs. No pre-reqs. 2 yrs of school and I will be an RN. This to me is just about reason enough in itself. This Program has also been on the top of the list in the nation too.
AND...lol I have heard the the local hospital, will pay for your schooling...if you sign a contract with them, to work there for a year or 2 once you are done with school.Another reason..(this will be the last one I swear) The school system there is AWESOME. People move there just for the schools. There are 2 wards in this town of under 1500 people.
